is something I do for fun. Mostly, I just enjoy the
guitars, the music and everything that goes with it! I became an
authorized Peavey dealer in late 2004 with the sole purpose of dealing with
the Custom Shop guitars. I have sold well over 100 HP Special guitars
on this site as a Peavey dealer in the past couple years.
ALL guitars include the original hardshell case and are NEW with
warranty unless otherwise noted.

transfers and personal checks with a holding period for them to clear.
I will ship internationally. Shipping to most international
destinations in Europe and other areas runs between $100 and $150 ninety
percent of the time.
Update
(09-02-10): Peavey has closed the custom shop indefinitely. They
have disabled the custom shop configuration section of their web site.
It would be their desire to re-start it some day along with U.S guitar production
after they are done re-working their manufacturing operations.
However, there has been no assurance given that this will happen and they
are not currently accepting orders. The reality is that guitars are a very small part
of Peavey's business and it is a tough economic climate where almost nobody
is making money at it. The desire is there but economic conditions may
ultimately dictate the fate of Peavey U.S. made guitars. While I hope
it is not the case, it would not surprise me if this were the end of the
line.
The good news is
that I ordered a whole bunch of custom shop guitars in anticipation of this
situation and have a large selection of Custom Shop HP Specials.
I won't be getting anymore unless Peavey starts production again and I am
not expecting that to occur anytime soon, if ever.
I have launched a
new section of this site called "Marketplace" where others can list their Wolfgangs, HP Specials, Music Man and similar guitars for sale at no charge.
There is a $50
success fee if the guitar sells, payable on the honor system. I will
need to
"authorize" each seller and I plan to do a certain amount of due diligence
to make sure everyone offering guitars is legitimate. The buyer and
seller will complete their deal and arrange payment outside the site.
My role will simply be to match buyer and seller and thus provide the
"Marketplace". All listings will be uniform and complete to help
enhance the buyer experience. As with all new software there
can be a few issues and of course there are lots of features yet to be
added. This is a starting place! It will take awhile for people
to find this new feature and begin to start listing guitars so keep checking
back. You have the option to sort by the most recently listed.

Peavey HP Special Video Demo (This

orange color with a small burst. The body is basswood. The
neck is birdseye and the fretboard a really nice rosewood with pearl
dots. The headstock is matching and the

It is from the January NAMM show. The guitar has a really nice

scuffs on one of the pick-up tops from a few minutes of playing.

They don't get much more
unique than this one. It is an oil rubbed Korina top CT with a
mahogany body, beautiful rosewood fretboard with brass fretboard markers
with black center dots. The headstock is matching. The 3
pick-ups are P90's and there is a three
way selector switch to select each one individually. Note the
matching rear wood control cover. This one is a work of art.
